My Story
My journey in education began back in my home country of Mexico, where I was born and raised.
I graduated as valedictorian and even had the honor of meeting the president of Mexico at the time, Mr. Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de León.
I received my English language teaching certification from Cambridge University and went on to teach at various schools and companies. Many of my students were executives, and I even had the privilege of teaching the mayor of the city of Cuernavaca and his wife.
Later, I trained as an interpreter and worked as a private interpreter for the owner of a manufacturing company. In 2004, I moved to the United States, where I began training as a court interpreter. I became certified and have since worked in the court system on a wide range of cases, including criminal law, civil law, probate, small claims, traffic court, landlord-tenant disputes, and family law, among others. I've also worked as an independent contractor and trained as a medical interpreter.
For the past few years, I've been proud to be part of the Community Interpreting Program at a local community college.
